South Dakota Legislation to Challenge Powertech Pushed Law
House Bill 1098 was introduced by Rep. Patricia Stricherz on January 20, 2012 in the South Dakota State Legislature that would repeal Senate Bill 158 signed by South Dakota Governor Dennis Daugaard on March 28, 2011. House Bill 1098 will restore the state's full role in regulating in situ leach uranium mining and insure that distant federal bureaucrats are not in control of South Dakota's future.
